Abstract

This Study focuses on examining the microbial contamination of drinking water, with a particular emphasis on Escherichia coli as an indicator of fecal pollution. The study analyzes water samples from various households to estimate contamination levels and the presence of pathogens. The results indicate significant contamination, with pathogens detected in 40% of the sites, posing a public health risk. The findings highlight the need for improved water management practices to ensure safe drinking water in rural communities.
